| Just saw Exception the the Rule a second time. The price is right, and I wondered how I would respond after admiring it so much the first time. I had to write how much more I enjoyed it the second time. This is such a smart, funny, and disturbing play in all the best ways. The cast is unbelievable. They are given great material, but they each make their characters so distinct, and my allegiance kept switching, which I believe is the playwrights intent. If you haven’t guessed by now, I recommend this to anyone looking for a great 90 minutes of laughter and serious reflection on our world. |
