SPOILER question re: Case for Existence of G_d
Posted by: goodfriendnj 11:30 am EDT 05/15/22

Forgive my possible ignorance, but I did not understanding the ending of The Case for the Existence of God.
(Although let me add: I was seated in a box seat... A woman who was seated in Row B was having a coughing fit, so she got up to cough near the exit. But then she sat down next to me and proceeded to cough sporadically for the remainder of the show. In other words, she didn't want to disturb the people (friends?) seated next to her, but it was perfectly okay to disturb ME for the remainder of the show. Toward the end, I was so preoccupied with this irritating woman that I lost focus on the show. That's my excuse, at least.)
So when the two actors (both excellent) were standing on top of the office set, were they themselves looking back on their childhood, or were they now their two young daughters talking? I was completely flummoxed. I presume they were themselves since they kissed... but I really didn't understand what was going on.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.
