| I felt that the show, even after 35 years (I believe thats correct) of development, is still a bit of a mess. Too many characters that we learn almost nothing about, perfunctory romantic interest, and a score which is mostly nice, it most great IMHO. I felt that it was a collection of the best ideas from over the years of this project - but not having a cohesive narrative line. Although a flop, I found BAND IN BERLIN many years ago a more compelling version of this story. (No I didnt produce it!) |
