Full Cast and Creatives Announced for Theatre Now's
SOUND BITES 2022

Nine new musicals will play Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center May 23rd at 7pm

New York, NY (May 2022) - The SOUND BITES Festival of 10-Minute Musicals, now in its ninth year, will be presented by Theater Now New York on May 23rd at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center (129 W 67th St, New York). To purchase tickets, visit https://www.tnny.org/soundbites.

The annual SOUND BITES Festival is a fast-paced evening featuring a diverse lineup of stories and styles from emerging writers. Shows presented in past years of the festival have gone on to be licensed through Music Theatre International and produced around the world. Over 70 writers and 160 creative artists have taken part. "This year's slate of artists are exceptional," says Theatre Now's Managing Director Colleen Harris. "We're thrilled to explore the future of musical theatre with them, and to present these nine exciting new shows to the musical theatre community."

Christine Pedi (Chicago, Forbidden Broadway) will host the evening and provide musical interludes throughout. The full cast and creatives of the nine new musicals are:

A SEAT AT THE TABLE, by Rebecca Murillo (book, music, & lyrics)
Directed by Hillary Dominguez, with music direction by Christian Cantrell and choreography by Cole Wachman. Featuring Catherine Ariale, Max Chlumecky, Jazley Genovese, Levane Harrington, Gabriela Hernandez, Erika Xiomara Reyes, Benjamin Santiago, Hannah Skokan, and Tim Webb.

COLA'O: A BILINGUAL TROVA by Paloma Sierra (book & lyrics) and Pedro Emanuel Franco Fraticelli (Music)
Directed by Raquel Cordero Castro, music direction by Kimberly García Irizarry. Featuring Kimberly García Irizarry and Christian García Roque.

HOW TO DRAW FRANKENSTEIN, by Erin Quinlan (book, music & lyrics)
Directed by Amy Griffin, with music direction by Joshua Stephen Kartes. Featuring Jerry Gallagher, Ella McMillion, Jack Porubsky, and Molly Samson.

HUMPTY'S HATCHING DAY, by Kenny Harmon (book & lyrics) and Steve Wallace (music)
Directed by Chuck Burks, with music direction by Steve Wallace and choreography by Angel Chinn. Featuring Barry Antoine, Amoria Burks, Lesly Degroot, Berlande Millus, and Jamaal Williams.

LETTERS FROM MAY, by Kara Cutruzzula (book & lyrics) and Kristoffer Bjarke (music)
Directed and choreographed by Tyrone L. Robinson, with music direction by Kristoffer Bjarke. Featuring Jack Adams, Stephanie Bacastow, Eric Cotti, Marianne Goodell, and Dolores Avery Pereira.

PIGEONS MATE FOR LIFE by Joan Saltzman (book & lyrics) and Andrew Underberg (book & music)
Directed by Brendan Stackhouse, with music direction by Jeremy Jacobs and design by Brendan McCann. Featuring Patrick Howard, Nicholas Kraft, Grace E. McLaughlin, and Mason Van Gieson.

RISE, by Gabrielle Mirabella (book & lyrics) and Ernie Bird (music)
Directed by Tasha Gordon-Solmon, with music direction by Zalman Kelber and orchestration by Ernie Bird. Featuring Carla Leoz Maurer, Sarah Smith, and Kirstin Wolf.

THE SABOTEUR, by Laura Italiano (book, music, & lyrics)
Directed by Jeremy Sutherland, with music direction and piano arrangements by Adam Wiggins. Featuring Miriam Kushel, Joshua La Force, Kyle Minshew, Catie Shelley, and Luke Sikora.

THESE WALLS, by Caitlin Collins (book & lyrics) and Matthew Lowy (music)
Directed by Scott Weinstein, with music direction by Peter Leigh-Nilsen. Featuring Maryanne Burr, Patricia Lawrence, J'Kobe Wallace, and Virdell Williams.
