This reminded me of Dick Cavett's op-ed during the Jonathan Pryce "Miss Saigon" controversy.
"The whole idea of acting is appearing to be what you are not. Don't you know that, Equity officials? That is why what the actor does is called an art and what union officials do is called a job."
