If that's true, it's a very very special circumstance and very very special kind of very very demanding show, lead by someone with the legacy to get away with it.

This revival of Funny Girl is so far from Jerome Robbins Broadway it's not even worth mentioning it.

Has any other broadway show *rehearsed* 3 months? Or even more than 2 months? Let alone a revival?

And more to the point... is this true of this production? Or was Jane Lynch speaking inaccurately? Has anyone else involved in the production mentioned the 3 month rehearsal? Is there evidence for this?

I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm saying it's uncommon, unlikely, and I'm baffled at why they felt they needed it and what they did with that time... if Jane is accurate.
