According to the NY Times, and a friend of mine in the show, this production of FUNNY GIRL went into rehearsal on Monday, February 14. The first preview performance was March 26. So, six weeks between first rehearsal and first preview.
It's possible Jane Lynch was including the preview period (when rehearsals presumably continued to an extent), and the pre-rehearsal work she may have done (say, with a vocal coach or some dance work.) |
