Given the continued low ratings for other major awards shows like the Oscars and Grammys this year, I think continued low ratings for the Tonys should be an expectation, don't you? That said, as i recall CBS execs saying in the past, they've never had difficulty selling premium ad space during the Tony telecast due to the reliable demos of the audience (primarily, wealth and disposable income.) I guess it remains to be seen how low their tolerance is for total viewership, though!
By the way, I LOVE your suggestion of having the three Anitas present something. Hell, if it's just the two original Anitas introduced by Ariana, that would be amazing!
