| Well, if they can come up with an equally quirky and whimsical passage that sounds like it's a boy's monologue and not a girl's, there might be hope for this project. Boys can be quirky and whimsical too, if not quite in the same way as girls--though I don't think I'd quite be able to define the difference. Though I can't quite define the difference, I think I'd feel a bit of a jolt if they got it wrong. That line, though, "Please God, don't let me be normal!" does work equally well for a person of either gender. |
