There were many things about the documentary that I thought could be improved, and I wish they had just released the complete concert, or at least complete versions of all of the songs; but considering that it purported to be a history of the show's development that highlighted how groundbreaking it was, the fact that it did not even acknowledge that Bill T. Jones worked on the show, much less talk about the way his choreography was crucial to the show's success and groundbreaking aesthetic, I think Jones's erasure is egregious, despicable, and potentially malevolent. |
