I loved ''Spring Awakening'' and really enjoyed the HBO documentary, but I, too, wished it spotlighted Jones' Tony-winning contributions.

He captured the show's rebellious spirit. It's hard to picture ''The Bitch of Living'' without those kids stomping and standing on their chairs.

Back then, I think his Tony win was a surprise, especially competing against the giant dance ensemble numbers in ''Mary Poppins.''

(Jones would go on to win his second Tony for choreographing ''Fela!,'' and he's currently nominated for ''Paradise Square.'')
