I may be mistaken about this, but I thought, in recent years she'd returned to LA semi-permanently? It obviously would be wonderful if she were strong enough (and, of course, wished to) make the trip to the NY to be honored in person, but it's a a lovely and well deserved honor regardless.
I THINK this interview with her niece from November 2019 may have been her last public appearance? I know it's not an appearance, but an interview at her home, but you know what I mean. |
