Yes, that's the interview that led me to believe her main residence was in L.A. (Brentwood). That was before the pandemic but she seemed in very fine shape mentally and looked terrific. It feels wrong somehow to speculate on her health and acuity from afar when you don't know a person, but she has been in my life since I was a toddler seeing Bedknobs and Broomsticks and the hours I spent in my bedroom singing along with her to Mame and Sweeney Todd are some of the happiest of my life. As is the case with so many actors, I feel very close to her and treasure her continuing health and well-being and am chuffed for her when she is given an award.

I hope they give her a nice big tribute whether she is there in person or not! Apart from her five awards, she also hosted the Tonys for years when she was on hiatus from Murder, She Wrote. She has devoted so much time, energy and passion to the Broadway community for more than 60 years now: I can't think of anyone more deserving of an honorary Tony.
