EPIPHANY last night at the Mitzi Newhouse - trying to avoid spoilers

(1) If you’ve seen it, could you help me understand what point it was attempting to make? What was the “epiphany”? The holiday of Epiphany falls on January 6 each year, but the recent significance of that date in the US was not addressed. Or was it obliquely?

(2) Are Marylouise Burke and Peter Bartlett related? They both use (time and again, role after role) the same flailing arms and exaggerated slow speech to express themselves. Yes, funny to a point, but then ….?

(3) Even with comps, the small theater had many empty seats and some patrons escaped during the intermission-less 110 minutes of this weird, dark and puzzling effort.

(4) This play isn’t likely to encourage LCT members to return to the theater. Such a frustrating, annoying, and unsatisfying production.
