I came out of the theatre thinking there was possibly an interesting play to be written about Robert Moses, and certainly an interesting play - perhaps a MORE interesting play - to be written about Jane Jacobs (and perhaps a more interesting play still to be written about Jane Jacobs after she moved to Toronto), and that this wasn't it. Fiennes is always worth watching, but the play itself is a dud.
I do love the Bridge, though, although I don't see everything there. And I'm very much looking forward to their 'Guys and Dolls' next year. |
