| I really enjoyed the 2011 Broadway production of ''Bonnie & Clyde,'' starring Jeremy Jordan and Laura Osnes, so I'm happy to hear that it's been rediscovered, a decade later, in London. Back in January 2022, a concert version with Jordan and Frances Mayli McCann played for two nights and sold out the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, reportedly in minutes. It's also been filmed for a future release. Now, with McCann and Jordan Luke Gage, it seems to have found an audience during its scheduled 13-week run, closing July 10, at the Arts Theatre. I wish I could see McCann, a past Olivier nominee, and Gage, who got raves for ''& Juliet.'' At any rate, I love Don Black and Frank Wildhorn's terrifically tuneful country score, and this marks Wildhorn's West End debut. Even though it's so early in the season, I hope the world (and Olivier Award nominators) ''will remember'' all of them! |
