| Disagree. So many missed opportunities. Debose is very talented but was given consistently poor material. I think we were all awaiting a moving Sondheim tribute but what we got seemed almost like an afterthought. Bernadette was lovely but she now is not able to sing that song comfortably. I was waiting for more Sondheim veterans to enter with iconic songs perhaps ending with a large chorus singing Sunday but it all just sort of faded away. None of the show numbers gave me the thrill that numbers in the past have given me. The tribute to Angela was almost insulting. I found it curious that no one was wearing masks, particularly Ms Lupone. They had four hours and it seemed like four hours. |
