| I was at yesterday's sparsely attended matinee. Maybe word has already leaked out that this is one more symptom that LCT has lost its way. Something essential must have fallen overboard crossing the pond from Galway. This tonally wobbly homage to "The Dead" never decides what it wants to be -- satire, slapstick, or serious. It shines no light on Joyce and lacks enough substance to stand on its own. What a waste of talent! No wonder they did not have an intermission even though it lasts two hours. |
