The Oscars have a limit on the number of producers who can win Best Picture. I think it's 3. The Tony limit appears to be 300.

In terms of having the producer talk instead of the authors, it generally bothers me, but I was okay with it last night. Ben Power, the co-author, was the only person to speak for The Lehman Trilogy, apparently by design because Stefano Massini was standing right next to him and had no interest in speaking. Michael R Jackson already spoke when he accepted Best Book. And I don't know if any of the authors for the revivals (or their representatives) were there.
