I haven’t seen the new production yet, but I’m assuming that was a truncated version last night on the awards. (On each cast album the opening number lasts between 5 and 6 minutes.). I’m assuming it’s done in full the way that it almost always is, and the way in fact it was done at the NY Phil - Bobby sings the whole chorus by himself, and then at the end of the long number, the whole cast sings the entire chorus again, start to finish. |
