actually, what I saw in that clip made me curious about the whole show, and the quality of the dancing/staging was first-rate. OK, there was a Vegas element to it, but that was the kind of routine they were building. Frost seems uniquely talented (even in doing an imitation), which I got from this number and from a number of other promotional appearances he has made. Until the show last night I hadn't realized that Lynn Nottage wrote the book (I've loved her work in the past and find her to be an incisive and intelligent writer).
Again, I had initially rejected the show because I thought it was just a tribute show. Now, I'm wondering if that's the case, and will investigate (and consider) further. |
