From the internet, it looks like Max Clayton graduated from college in 2014, which would make him around 30, and he looks like he is in his 30s. Sutton Foster is 47 and Kathy Voytko and Hugh Jackman are in their 50s.
I'm sure Clayton is very talented, but I'm confused why the production would have a standby who doesn't seem to mesh age-wise with Jackman and Foster's ages. There are plenty of actors in NYC who read as being 45-50 and can play the role.
