I thought Billy Crystal was awkward and stiff, and that Yiddish scat was dreadful .. a little homework would go a long way.
Paradise Square performance and acceptance speech were great, but I walked out of that show naming her for the Tony. It's a solid musical if you can make it through the slow first act and thin plot.
MJ convinced me completely to skip it. Living through the eighties once was enough, tyvm.
Don't get me started on Strange Loop harumph. Moved from the no to the no way in hell category.
I would have loved Girl from the North Country, Skin of our Teeth, and Flying over Sunset to grab something more, but that's probably just my odd taste.
I do hope all of Broadway gets a giant boost, so more and more great stuff is done to suit all tastes. |
