Well, there was a revival of Sweet Charity with Sutton Foster off-Broadway just 6 years ago in 2016. There were expectations that it would move, but that didn't happen.
The two Broadway revivals in '86 and '05 were commercial failures. Since Foster is about as big a star for the role of Charity that you can get and since that revival didn't make it to Broadway, it's hard to imagine one with DeBose getting there. I agree, though, that she is a good fit for the role, perhaps in a production at one of the major regional venues. |
