| It is one of the lines that I have felt is a problem as far back as I can remember discussing this, although it may be less obviously a problem than some of the other lines, but after January 6, 2021, I think it is pretty obviously a problem. And even before that, in the political climate that has prevailed for some time now. The historical association is very clear. Clearer even than with the mint julep line, another bizarre and clueless choice of a line to retain if the point was to remove imagery of the Old South, slavery, etc. |
