As someone who does not speak Russian, it does seem to me that, as you say, Senelick has some quirks, but there are things that I suppose some would consider quirks that I like a lot.
Anyway, it might be very interesting to discuss specifics one day, even if we disagreed on some things, with my perspective admittedly being that of someone who has simply read many translations and read articles and notes accompanying translations about some of the issues involved in translating the plays. |
