StageDoorEddie, thanks for the report! ... Did the audience still look pretty full? So happy to hear Max went over so well. Kudos to Clayton!
On the BroadwayWorld message board, funaviator posted: ''Max Clayton was amazing tonight! Today was worth remembering!!! Max had big shoes to fill. (Yes, I saw Hugh in April). But let me tell you.. Max Clayton was a star tonight! He led the band, smiling from ear to ear. He can really sing and dance!! So happy I was able to be a part of tonight. At the end of the show, Sutton gave him praise as well as all the understudies that filled in tonight!! Another note: How did she not win the Tony??? Thank you to all the cast, crew, and musicians!
