Thank you—I miss the Colony, I usually just checked it twice a year (when I was in town, I'm from Vancouver) and that was enough to be certain I wasn't missing anything new!

I had no idea Jagged Little Pill had been released. I'll browse Hal Leonard immediately.

My pleasure! And thanks to the OP for prompting me to do the research. I saw several interesting things on HLP, such as a recently revised Rags book, and a book for Caroline, or Change, which I had no idea was available commercially!

I haven't browsed for new show sheet music in AGES, and I am embarrased to say that the last book I bought was A Christmas Story. I am sad that I haven't found many recent scores inspiring me to want to take a deeper dive into the nuts and bolts of their musical composition. No doubt this is due in part to the profileration of jukebox musicals. Although I like some of them, I have never found pop music to be that interesting to play on the piano because it tends to be musically simplistic and often relies on a "band" to give it the things that make it satisfying. I was close to buying War Paint because it's musically rich and complex and seemed like someting I could sink my teeth (hands) into, but my lukewarm feelings about the show as a whole kept me from shelling out the cash. But I would like to find a single of Pink!

I also include vocal selections books in the Talkin' Broadway Sound Advice updates (posted on All That Chat, available by email, and all are archived on the site), when I know of them. I think the Jagged Little Pill book was listed in September 2020.
