| I saw the 2008 Signature Theatre production of THE HAPPY TIME, and I thought it was terrific. It was definitely a revised version from the Broadway one, with some different songs and book changes, though I don't remember the details now. It was also quite intimate, being done in Signature's smaller space. I remember in particular David Margulies being brilliant in the David Wayne role of Grandpere Bonnard. Michael Unger's direction was sterling. |
