In Paul Ford's new showbiz memoir, ''Lord Knows, At Least I Was There,'' the Broadway pianist says he once played for a ''spectacularly fun reading'' of ''On the Twentieth Century.'' And it starred Hugh Jackman, Kristin Chenoweth, Andrea Martin and Matt Bomer. Wow, wish I could've seen that!

Instead, the 2015 revival opened with Peter Gallagher, Kristin Chenoweth, Mary Louise Wilson and Andy Karl.

If it were up to me, Chenoweth and Karl would've won Tonys for that show (and I would've cast the wacky Joanne Worley as Letitia Primrose).

Worley actually played Letitia in a delightful 2005 Actors' Fund benefit of the show, starring Douglas Sills, Marin Mazzie and Christopher Sieber.
