In terms of lyrics, no, not that i can see. Musically, they do both evoke a traditional (now more "old time") gospel feel.
The only (tenuous) lyric connection might be that, while "Sobbin' Women" refers to a woman "fit to be tied," in "Run Freedom Run" Hope Cladwell is literally tied to a chair (and yet still trying to sing and dance with the ensemble). :-)
