I didn't realize a closing was this imminent

In reply to: “COMPANY,” THE MOST HONORED MUSICAL OF THE SEASON TO END BROADWAY RUN ON SUNDAY, JULY 31. NORTH AMERICAN TOUR PLANNED FOR 2023-2024 SEASON. - Official_Press_Release 06:22 pm EDT 06/21/22

...I don't really watch the business the way some of you do, but I don't recall hearing recent rumblings of an inevitable summertime closing for Company, the way we've heard plenty of chatter for Paradise Square, Hangmen, Girl from the North Country and others. Is this a surprise or should everyone have seen this coming? I assume a low advance is a contributing factor to these types of decisions. Guess I'll have to hightail it in order to see the production before it closes.

And probably making weekly costs. But like you stated, the advance is probably poor and august is usually a slow month going into a sluggish fall. Some shows hold out for holiday boost. Hangmen and girl were planned schedule end of run. It was selling out they could have extended. Paradise is the mystery show. I want that printing press to mint money in my basement.

Does anyone know if "Company" recouped?

"[Lead producer Chris] Harper said it was too early to say whether the revival, which was capitalized for up to $13 million, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, would recoup its costs. The show, like many others, received $10 million in federal assistance from the Small Business Administration during the pandemic. It grossed $640,297 during the week ending June 12, playing to houses that were 74 percent full."
