Don't be confused. I agree with dramedy on this. New Yorkers and tourists have had 7 months to see Matt Doyle's outstanding performance in Company on Broadway. Doyle winning a featured actor Tony is not a big enough deal to sell more tickets to a show that (unfortunately) has not been a hot ticket in New York.

However, a tour to a theatre savvy city like Chicago (and others) featuring a Broadway star like Doyle, recreating his Tony winning role, will definitely sell a lot of tickets to an audience who knows who is but has never been able to see him live on a stage.

Look - I love Doyle and I'm excited for his Tony win. But I think you're making him a bigger star than he is. He might sell *some* tickets, but he's not such a "Broadway star" and even in a "theatre savvy city" I don't think his name is that big of a draw. Maybe in the future - but now? I'm not so sure.

All I'm saying is that the tour in Chicago would sell more tickets with Doyle in the cast that it would without him in the cast. He is name that resonates with theatre savvy Chicagoans.

Most of the tours we get do not have a single recognizable name in them.
