| I just got my first trip back to NY in a very long time. I'll be there in late July (July 27 thru Aug. 1) Now soliciting advice from strangers on what theatre and performing arts events should be on my must-see list. Company and Into the Woods are 100% confirmed, but everything else is open. A Strange Loop is a strong likelihood. Were it still playing, Hangmen would have been a definite. None of the other current musicals on Broadway interest me, so if there are other plays (Off and Off-Off Broadway) OR classical, jazz, dance, cabaret, comedy etc. shows you'd have on your list for that time period, do let me know! |

| i don't know about "must see," but here are some non-Broadway shows that are either on MY personal "to see" list, or I've already seen them and liked them: --Hamlet (Armory) --Oresteia (Armory) --Twelfth Night (Classical Theatre of Harlem) - starring recent Tony nominee, Kara Young. She's a real star in the making, and this a great role for her. --Epiphany (LCT) --The Nosebleed (LCT3) --The Seagull (Elevator Repair Service) --Heart (Audible Theatre) |

| You should consider Hamlet and Oresteia at the Park Avenue Armory. Especially since you don't live here, the chance to see a show in this space should be strongly considered, it is very unique and the two plays got rave reviews in UK. | |

| Oh and if you do go to the Armory - go very early to take a wander through the magnificent period rooms along the lobby corridor. | |
