Lincoln Center Theater Board of Directors announces Kewsong Lee as Chair

LINCOLN CENTER THEATER

The Lincoln Center Theater Board of Directors has announced that Kewsong Lee has been elected Chair, effective July 1. Mr. Lee, who previously served as LCT Board President, will succeed Eric Mindich who served as Chair from July 1, 2016.

Kewsong Lee, who has been a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Board of Directors since 2008, is the Chief Executive Officer of Carlyle and was elected to the Board of Directors of Carlyle effective January 1, 2018. Mr. Lee joined Carlyle in 2013 as Deputy Chief Investment Officer for Corporate Private Equity. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Lee was a partner and a member of the Executive Management Group at Warburg Pincus, where he spent 21 years. In addition to Lincoln Center Theater, Mr. Lee currently serves as Vice Chair of the Partnership for New York City and is a member of the Business Roundtable. He also serves as Chairman of the US Chamber of Commerce China Center Advisory Board. Mr. Lee earned his AB in applied mathematics at Harvard College and his MBA from Harvard Business School. He is married to Zita Ezpeleta, who serves as the Chair of the School of American Ballet Board.

Eric Mindich, a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Board since 1998, is the Founder of Everblue Management. From 2004 to 2017, he was Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Eton Park Capital Management, a global multi-strategy investment firm. At its 2004 founding, Eton Park was the largest startup fund in history and had peak assets of over $14 billion. Prior to forming Eton Park in 2004, Mr. Mindich spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs in two main roles: leading the Equities Arbitrage business and managing the Equities Division. At age 27, he became the youngest partner in the history of Goldman Sachs. He was a member of the Goldman Sachs Management Committee and part of the Executive Office as Senior Strategy Officer. Along with his commitment to LCT, Mr. Mindich serves as Trustee and Co-Chair of the Investment Committee for The Mount Sinai Medical Center, Inc. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the Center for American Progress, and a former board member of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, The Harvard Management Company, The Horace Mann School, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He is married to the Tony Award-winning producer Stacey Mindich.
