Boy, that's not a trio you see everyday onstage, but they're heading ''The Drowsy Chaperone'' at Pittsburgh CLO through Sunday.
McKechnie, a Tony winner for ''A Chorus Line,'' is playing Mrs. Tottendale. Davis, best-known for hosting TV's ''Trading Spaces,'' is the Drowsy Chaperone. And Aiken, the former American Idol, is doing the comical but largely non-singing role of Man in Chair. And it's not his first time: In 2013, he did ''The Drowsy Chaperone'' at North Carolina Theatre with Beth Leavel, who originally won the Tony as the title character.
''I don't want to show off,'' but if I were in Pittsburgh this weekend, I'd try to catch it. Anyone here seeing it? (Or a big fan of the original?) |
