If there’s any clue as to the effectiveness of audience masks protecting actors on stage, we can simply look at all the COVID cases among the casts and the cancelled performances from the last seven months. Clearly masks did little to stop actors from catching COVID, presumably because they get pick it up in all the places you mentioned.
The Hugh Jackman headline would lead you to believe he got it from a maskless audience member.
These actors will get comfortable with the new policy, just like all the other employees have at businesses from grocery stores to airplanes. |
