I'm no Wildhorn fan, but I also found the score surprisingly not-bad. I actually still have the OBC in my music library and hear a song now and then when my iTunes decides I should.
The book, however, was atrocious. And even if the show has enjoyed further productions, it didn't find an audience on Broadway. Only the closing week (which was also the week between Christmas and New Year's) came anywhere near covering costs. If people didn't want to see it then, I can't imagine they want to see it now. |
