(spoilers)

The Song's lyrics also don't make much sense. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Nelly would have appropriate insurance in that day and age. She has a good head on her shoulders. Would she suddenly be rash and say, "Burn down the bar which gives me my livelihood as a widowed Black woman in the late 1800s, I don't care!" Frankly, she seems smarter than to do that kind of grandstanding.

AC126748, I would be very annoyed if all those people were out. That's all 3 Tony-nominated performances, and missing Kalukango in particular would be disappointing. I believe Kalukango missed a performance pretty soon after the Tonys and audience members were allowed to exchange. She's missed some other performances since then. I don't know if they are still allowing that. That being said, I think the cast and understudy board in that theater is in a pretty standard place, to the left of the box office windows. That's the placement in other theaters like the Broadway where the open doors don't obscure it. But I'm pretty sure that having neither Playbill insert nor announcement is an Equity violation, and the show will hopefully correct that soon.
