I did, but pre-Broadway in Chicago in Summer 1973.
I thought that David Cryer was magnificent.
And Jerry Dodge, Michael Kermoyan, and... Sheppard Strudwick (!) in support.
I was only 18 - and very impressionable at the time - but I loved it immensely.
The critics, of course, felt otherwise.
I really thought Chicago was sending NYC the next big hit.
Regardless, I still remember a nice night 49 years ago... |
