You do have strong opinions.

Well, besides CODA I liked Belfast, The Power of the Dog, King Richard, and Licorice Pizza quite a lot -- I thought they were worthy of the nomination. Don't Look Up was a very funny satire, but also rather silly. I was kind of mixed about Dune and Nightmare Alley for different reasons when I saw them in the theater. However, I have them both on my DVR and will eventually give them another glance. I never saw Drive My Car.

I have said many times on this board (and in my post today) that I liked West Side Story very much. In fact, I saw it 3 times in a theater. I have issues with Kushner's screenplay, which did not receive an Oscar nom. However, the Latino members of my family disliked the film intensely for a lot of different reasons. In addition, the Czech and Slovak members of my family, many of whom grew up in the 50's, lived in tenement apartments in Chicago, and belonged to gangs like the Jets felt the entire film lacked authenticity.

Anyway, what was your choice for Best Picture? What are your thoughts about the other nominees?
