BroadwayTonyJ, I know it's been over four years since you saw the show at Steppenwolf, but do you remember what the final moments were? It sounds like Peel came back, but did he come all the way back in and join the others? In the current Broadway version, I feel like the others were happy that he returned, and they welcomed him into their circle, so to speak. He was accepted as now being one of them.

I don't think the script has been published yet, and I assume it will be the final Broadway version. It's interesting that it sounds like the ending in the script that became a Pulitzer finalist in 2018 is not one that will be seen anywhere outside the Steppenwolf walls back in 2017.

I think the Wicker Man still has relevance in terms of the human sacrifice presumably made by Carp, the now-missing council member played by Ian Barford. So the idea of a person being murdered for the benefit of the townspeople still holds true.
