You're talking about "Chronicle of a Death Foretold" and "Swinging on a Star." I guess since they were 'flops," they don't rate being either nominated for best musical nor even named by you.
The "politics" were that the enough voters, as was the case with critics, must have hated the "egregiously overlooked" show enough that they reached out to "flops" to cite. certainly not the only time this has happened with disliked shows or stars' performances. |
