| i agree that Rachel York definitely should have been nominated. Tony Roberts and Gregory Jbara maybe too but I am not truly sure in those categories whom I would omit. The sets should have been nominated and also the costumes. Those are the only elements I really feel were overlooked. At the time, word was that Blake Edwards had so alienated everyone in the theater community that the show in general was just overlooked. It is perhaps too bad that Julie Andrews declined her nomination rather than accept it on behalf of the show and all the cast and creative elements. That would have been another choice. |
