| I was at Little Shop last night and hadn't seen it since Jonathan Groff was Seymour, sometime pre-pandemic. I love Groff, but McClure was a better fit as Seymour--so heartfelt, and there was good chemistry between him and Tammy Blanchard. There was a kid in the front row with some type of ADHD who couldn't stop reaching his hand out at her and flapping it while she performed Somewhere That's Green and she was marvelous--it didn't shake her at all and she cried near the end, as Audrey should do. Borle was doing even more hammy business, which, in my opinion, he totally sold. We had a great time. ANYWAY, my "cousins in from out of town I had to amuse" asked me, what would the three leads in the show make vs. working on Broadway? Is there anyway to speculate? I'm always happy to see any show running off-Broadway. Thanks! | |
