While there’s a ton of suspension of disbelief in opera, it’s weird to me that some believe just painting themselves darker suddenly makes them African.
But, Aida is supposed to be Ethiopian!
No one cares that the singer’s height, weight, facial features don’t look Ethiopian but paint your skin black and suddenly…she’s Ethiopian??! |
