I saw the understudy recently. I think it must be a directing choice for Audrey’s character because I really disliked her choices as well. I also thought the Urchins could not act their way out of a paper bag - and having nice voices doesn’t do it for those roles. I cringed every time they were onstage. Borle seemed to be bored and doing so much schtick it seemed he was in his own play. I did enjoy the understudy Seymour who was on and the actor playing Mushnik. But yikes, they need some brush up rehearsals to get everyone in the same play again.
