It's the producers who come out of this looking bad. (And unless Lea truly has a Reba McEntire-like effect on the show's fortunes, I expect that to persist post-Beanie.)
Given that there's not a lick of evidence that Beanie's medical absences are not for their stated reasons—and half of them are Covid-related—then so long as she returns to the show post-tonsilitis, she'll be fine. Being miscast does not suddenly turn someone into a serial liar.
(I'm also not convinced film & TV producers give a shit what happens on Broadway...) |
