| I'm seeing Into the Woods, Company and A Strange Loop on an upcoming trip to NY. I've got one slot open and am deciding between each of those productions listed above. The Twelfth Night production (which I haven't read much about on here) is a Classic Theater of Harlem production which looks pretty damn enchanting. It's a NYT Critics pick. Oresteia is a play I know nothing about and am wondering if zero familiarity with the Aesechylus work will impede my enjoyment. Hamlet, at the Park Ave. Armory, of course, one has read quite a bit about here. (with regard to Hamlet and Oresteia, I should note, I have never seen a production at this venue) Fat Ham sounds so intriguing and, of course, the Pulitzer Prize win intrigues further. And, while I'm not expecting POTUS to be some great masterpiece, the chance to see that many talented, funny women together in one night is enormously appealing. |
