It's pretty common for institutional companies that offer a subscription to start the renewal drive before the actual season is in place. There are so many moving parts to locking down a season that all the details may not be known, even as the season begins. And they want as much time as possible to sell those subscriptions. The idea is that you trust the company's leadership to program a season that you will enjoy, even if they can't give you all the details upfront.

Even so, most of the companies will include some disclaimer that everything is subject to change.
